How to prepare for UGC NET Paper 1 and Paper 2 in 2022

The UGC NET exam is conducted every year to determine eligibility for lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) positions in Indian universities and colleges. The exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. UGC NET Exam Pattern

Paper 1

The first paper of the UGC NET exam is Paper 1. It consists of 50 objective-type questions, each worth 2 marks. The total marks for this paper are therefore 100. There is no negative marking in this paper.
Paper 1 tests the research and teaching aptitude of the candidate. It covers topics such as research methods, data interpretation, library and information science, communication, etc.

Paper 2

The second paper of the UGC NET exam is Paper 2. It consists of 100 objective-type questions, each worth 2 marks. The total marks for this paper are therefore 200. There is no negative marking in this paper either.
Paper 2 tests the subject knowledge of the candidate in their chosen subject area (out of a list of 84).

Total duration for both the papers is 03 hours (180 minutes) without any break. All the questions are compulsory.
