When will CTET 2023 be conducted?

The official dates for CTET 2023 have not been announced yet. However, CBSE will conduct 17th edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) in CBT (Computer Based Test - Online) mode between July, 2023 to August, 2023. Candidates are advised to keep a tab on the official CTET website for any official announcements regarding the exam dates.

The online application-process will be start from 27-04-2023 (Thursday) onwards and the last date for submitting online application is 26-05-2023 (Friday) upto 11:59 hrs. The fee can be paid upto 26-05-2023 (Friday) before 11:59 hrs. For more details visit official website.

Who is eligible to take CTET 2023?

Candidates who have completed their graduation and have a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree are eligible to take CTET 2023. Additionally, candidates must have scored at least 50% in their graduation to be eligible. Candidates who are in the final year of their degree program can also apply for the exam. However, such candidates need to submit their mark sheet and degree certificate at the time of document verification.

What is the exam pattern for CTET 2023?

The exam pattern for CTET 2023 will be the same as the previous years. The exam will consist of two papers - Paper I and Paper II. Each paper will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions, with each question carrying one mark and there will be no negative marking. The duration of the exam is 2.5 hours for each paper.




 

Candidates who wish to teach classes I-V need to appear for Paper I, while those who wish to teach classes VI-VIII need to appear for both papers. The sections that will be covered in each paper are:

What is the passing criteria for CTET 2023?

(b) Should give weightage to the CTET scores in the recruitment process however, qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.
